Step-by-Step: Linking Your Nigerian PayPal Account to an International Card

While Nigerian PayPal accounts cannot receive money from other users, they remain functional for sending payments and checking out on international merchant websites when linked to a valid virtual USD card.

Step 1: Obtain a Verified USD Virtual Card

Ensure your virtual card has at least $3.00 balance for PayPal’s verification charge.

Step 2: Enter Card Details in PayPal Wallet

Log in to PayPal, navigate to Wallet, click Link a Debit or Credit Card, and enter your 16-digit card details.

Step 3: Confirm the 4-Digit Code

Check your fintech app transaction statement for the 4-digit code (e.g. PP*1234CODE) and enter it into PayPal to remove spending limits.
